Course Overview and Introduction: See Brightspace Examples


Purpose: Providing an overview and introduction to your course can be accomplished in a number of ways in Brightspace. Viewing examples of ways to introduce your course will provide you with ideas about how you might incorporate them into your course.



Reviewing this material will assist you in meeting the following objectives:

Course
  • Develop an online course that incorporates eight general standards for quality online teaching.
  • Build an online course in the Brightspace learning management system.
  • Design an online course specifically for the education of XULA students.

  • Introduce the purpose and the structure of your Brightspace course.
  • Provide clear expectations to learners for communicating with you.
  • Communicate the minimum technology requirements and computer skills required for success.
  • Provide an engaging introduction of yourself and an opportunity for learners to introduce themselves to each other.
