CALENDAR EVENTS NOT SHOWING IN PULSE UPCOMING CALENDAR
Problem: In Brightspace, when an event is added through the Calendar it should also be pulled into and displayed on the Pulse app as a calendar event, but currently it does not always display. This behavior has been observed in recurring events. The first event displays but subsequent recurrences do not.
Resolution: No current resolution or workaround for the Pulse app. The events display properly in the calendar widget when viewed in a web browser. More information about this issue can be found in the Brightspace Community's known issues list. NOTE: You must be logged into the Brightspace Community to view the article.

SAFARI BROWSER NOT WORKING WITH SOME BRIGHTSPACE ADD-ONS
Problem: Some Brightspace add-ons like Zoom and Respondus LockDown Browser are not functioning properly when using the Safari browser. This is caused by the fact that the Safari browser is blocking third-party browser session cookies. Session cookies are small text files that websites put on your device to store information about you and your preferences. Blocking these cookies prevents these add-ons from working properly in Brightspace.
Resolution: The easiest fix to this issue is to use another browser, like Google Chrome, when accessing Brightspace. For an optimal experience that offers better performance, accessibility, and security, D2L recommends that all users access Brightspace with the latest version of a supported browser. You can find a list of supported browsers at D2L’s website.
Alternatively, if you want to use Safari you can try enabling third-party session cookies in the Safari preferences. Follow these instructions to enable third-party session cookies (PDF).

SURVEYS: BRANCHING WIZARD
Problem: There is a bug in the Survey Branching Wizard. Survey branching allows the instructor to choose which question comes up next in the survey based on the user's response. There is a problem in that if during the branching the instructor sets up the survey to intentionally skip a question or questions based on the users response, the user will received a warning message indicating questions have not been answered when they submit the survey.
Resolution: This problem is resolved. (status updated 6/2021)

QUIZZES: DEFAULT QUIZ SUBMISSION VIEW
Problem: Sometimes the default submission view does not exist on quizzes that are imported from Blackboard and the missing submission view results in an error when attempting to view results at the end of a quiz.
Resolution: Currently D2L is not automatically finding and resolving this in the import process, however there are methods that can be used to resolve these issues. As a workaround you can add the default view for the imported Blackboard quizzes by following these steps:
- Edit the Quiz
- Click on Submission Views
- Click on Add Additional view
- Give the desired name in the Add View page and click on Save
In those cases where viewing the attempt results in an error, you should submit a ticket to the 24/7 D2L End User Support for help.

RESPONDUS LOCKDOWN BROWSER
Problem: Some quizzes that are migrated over from Blackboard may not have Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB) enabled even though the quiz name indicates that RLDB (and Webcam) are required. Quizzes that require RLDB/Monitor will have “Required” in the appropriate columns when you view the list of quizzes in the LockDown Browser tab in the Quizzes Tool. In other words, if the quiz doesn't appear in the LockDown Browser tab with “Required” in the appropriate column RLDB/Monitor is NOT enabled.
Resolution: The workaround that we have found is that you have to create a new quiz and then you should see the newly created quiz in the LockDown Browser tab at which point you can set the RLDB/Monitor options. For the newly created quiz you should be able to import the quiz questions from the old quiz OR from the Question Library to save yourself some time in setting it up.
