Day and Barbara Gastel’s ''How to Write and Publish a Scientific Paper'', the group requires each participant to have a piece of scholarship that they have begun in some form that they intend to submit for publication by the end of the semester. In line with Wendy Belcher’s Writing Your Journal Article in 12 Weeks and Robert A. Day and Barbara Gastel’s How to Write and Publish a Scientific Paper, the group requires each participant to have a piece of scholarship that they have begun in some form that they intend to submit for publication by the end of the semester. The group uses a variety of techniques and practices to encourage small yet productive allocations of work time. Participants are expected to attempt daily writing, attend a weekly writing session for at least one hour, and report to the group weekly through progress checks.
