What Will Your Students Do for Your Class?

Activities and interactions need to be purposeful and clearly connected to the objectives of the course. Students should always understand why they are being given any task, and they should always know exactly what is expected of them for those tasks.

Activities and Interaction Checklist

As you develop your course in Brightspace, be sure to use this checklist to review your incorporation of learning activities and interactions throughout the course. This checklist is based on the Quality Matters Specific Review Standards 5.1-5.4.

  • ✓ The learning activities promote the achievement of the stated learning objectives or competencies.
  • ✓ Learning activities provide opportunities for interaction that support active learning.
  • ✓ The instructor’s plan for interacting with learners during the course is clearly stated.
  • ✓ The requirements for learner interaction are clearly stated.
