The #LEX course is designed to demonstrate and model pedagogical practices and standards that facilitate effective online instruction. The eight learning modules are based on the Quality Matters General Standards; however, each module is tailored to emphasize the tools available in Brightspace and the "Xavier Touch," our faculty's mission-driven commitment to support every student.

Our goal with this open wiki resource is to make the #LEX course materials available in an open format for educators to use to develop or improve their online and hybrid courses. This wiki resource contains the eight learning modules, and each module has four tasks: Get Started, Learn More, See Examples, and Take Action.

Each module in the #LEX course follows the same structure: a statement of learning objectives; instruction through video, weblinks, and text; illustrations of how to address the topic in Brightspace; an assignment to build an aligned component in Brightspace; and a reflective activity.
