In October 2015, Xavier's Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Faculty Development was honored to receive a $1,000 grant from Bringing Theory to Practice. The grant, entitled Well-Being & Sustainability at Xavier University of Louisiana, provided support for a one-day facilitated conversation examining the campus culture of sustainability at Xavier University of Louisiana as a prior condition necessary for faculty and staff well-being, and explicitly aiming to set institutional goals and commitments to begin a process toward an increased culture of sustainability.

The seminar took place on Saturday, 23 January 2016, 9:30AM-2:30PM in the Mellon Seminar Room (Library 532B).
