Accessibility and Usability: See Brightspace Examples


Purpose: Viewing these examples of how to make a Brightspace course accessible and usable will help your design your course accordingly.


Viewing examples of ways that student support services can be presented in an online course will assist you in meeting the following objectives:

Course
  • Develop an online course that incorporates eight general standards for quality online teaching.
  • Build an online course in the Brightspace learning management system.


Module
  • Provide accessible text and images to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide alternative means of access to multimedia content in formats that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Design course multimedia to facilitate ease of use.
  • Identify effective ways to make a course usable and accessible in Brightspace.


Task: There are a number of ways you can make your Brightspace course accessible and usable. We've prepared some accessibility and usability examples for your review.
