Course activities should facilitate and support student interaction and engagement. Learning activities should support [https://teaching.cornell.edu/teaching-resources/engaging-students/active-learning active learning], as well as student-to-student and instructor-to-student interactions. Connecting activities to the real world drives student interest, engagement and retention. The expectation for student participation and interaction should be clearly explained. Feedback should be personal and timely.
